Gaza Bleeds: Israeli Attacks Kill Ten More Palestinians
In an official statement, the ministry said the latest casualties pushed the cumulative death toll since October 2023 to 72,312, with a staggering 172,134 additional people left injured over the same period.
The ministry further warned that an unknown number of victims remain buried under rubble or strewn in the streets, entirely beyond the reach of rescue workers. Ambulance crews and civil defense teams, it said, have been unable to access the affected areas.
Since the ceasefire took hold, the violence has shown no sign of abating. The Gaza Health Ministry reported that at least 733 Palestinians have been killed and a further 2,034 wounded in Israeli attacks carried out in breach of the truce agreement.
The ceasefire was brokered to bring a close to a two-year Israeli military campaign that has left the coastal enclave in near-total ruin — obliterating an estimated 90% of civilian infrastructure. The scale of destruction is so severe that the UN has placed the cost of reconstruction at approximately $70 billion, a sum that dwarfs the capacity of Gaza's shattered economy and underscores the generational weight of the crisis bearing down on its population.
